Jose-Luis Contreras

Mr. Contreras is an Associate Director in Navigant Consulting’s Energy Practice, formerly a consultant in Arthur D. Little’s Technology and Innovation Management Practice, based in San Diego, California. Mr. Contreras has managed strategy and technology management projects for public and private organizations in various energy areas: Renewable Energy, Clean Transportation, Hydrogen Economy, Energy Efficiency, Demand Response, Distributed Energy Resources, Transmission and Distribution Technologies, Fuel Procurement and Risk Management. Among his clean energy client work, he has analyzed scenarios and value networks, assessed industry-wide RD&D activity, analyzed portfolio of RD&D investments, developed RD&D roadmaps, assessed public benefits of RD&D projects, developed a partnership strategies for RD&D organizations, assessed attractiveness of investment in various business models, and developed strategies for technology startups. Mr. Contreras holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Tecnologico de Monterrey (ITESM).
