Paul Frankel
Prior to joining Aquillian, Paul Frankel was co-founder and Managing Director of Ecosa Capital, providing expansion capital to sustainable, emerging and growth-stage firms whose business practices, products and/or services offer investors superior economic profits and also provide social or ecological benefits. Paul teaches environmental entrepreneurship at Stanford University and social entrepreneurship at UC Berkeley in the Haas School of Business. He is an associate at the Center for the Study of Fiduciary Capitalism at St. Mary’s College of Moraga and is the fundraising chair for the California Cleantech Open. At 3Com Corporation, Paul was responsible for M&A, investments, and licensing. He is a co-founder and the former vice-chairman of the Wi-Fi Alliance. Early in his career, as director of international sales and marketing for Haitai America's electronics division (a subsidiary of South Korean chaebol Haitai Group), Paul generated $35 million in annual sales outside the US. After graduating with a degree in political science and economics from the University of Arizona, Paul worked for the Honorable U.S. Senator Dennis DeConcini and the Arizona state legislature. He earned a MBA from Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management. |
