Suvi Sharma

Suvi Sharma is the President and CEO of Solaria Corporation, based in Fremont, California.  Solaria is a leading photovoltaic technology company that has developed an advanced platform for dramatically lowering the cost of manufacturing solar panels.  Solaria has raised $27 million in funding from venture capital and strategic sources and is currently commercializing its technology in conjunction with leading global solar companies for mass production. 

Suvi is an experienced entrepreneur and former venture capitalist with 10 years experience successfully leading start-up ventures. He has been working in the emerging energy technology field for the past four years and became CEO at Solaria in July of 2003.  Suvi founded, built and raised over $12 million in funding for Ivus Inc., one of the early India-U.S. IT service companies, growing it to more than 150 employees.  Prior to Ivus, he was the youngest venture capitalist hired at Geocapital Partners, a $500 million international private equity firm, where he originated, structured, and negotiated equity investments in the range of $3 to $5 million.  Suvi is a graduate of Northwestern University.
